OBL < 50

What an OBL ceiling of 50 means

OBL is outbound links: the number of external links on the page where your link would sit. A lower outbound-link count means a less crowded placement, and it may reduce how widely any page-level authority is divided among the links on that page. It also tends to indicate pages that have not already been saturated by years of submissions.

Every target in the four category feeds is filtered to OBL < 50 at verification time. The 30-Day Surge Pool is the deliberate exception: verified, but unfiltered.

Two honest caveats. First, OBL is measured when the target is checked; on pages other operators also post to, the count can rise afterward — one more reason continuous re-verification matters, since re-checks apply the filter against the current state of the page.
